Sunward Studio designs and builds you a beautiful, custom website — then installs a private AI editor on your laptop so you can change anything, anytime, just by asking. You own the code, the domain, all of it. No platform. No lock-in. No monthly fee unless you want one.
You pay $20–$50/month to live inside a template you've outgrown. The minute you stop paying, your site vanishes.
A new offer launches, you need to update the homepage, and suddenly you're emailing someone for a $400 invoice and a two-week turnaround.
You can talk to their AI, but everything you build lives on their platform. Try to move it elsewhere — you can't.
Most "AI website" tools lock you into their platform forever. Sunward Studio does the opposite: we build it, hand you the keys, and teach the AI to live on your laptop.
We start with a 30-minute call about your work, your audience, and how you want to feel about your homepage. Then we design something that actually looks like you — not a Squarespace preset everyone has seen.
We install Claude on your laptop and connect it to your site. From then on, every edit is a conversation. No drag-and-drop. No CMS. No "where do I click to change this." Just ask.
Your site lives in your GitHub. It's hosted on your Vercel account (free tier for most sites). The domain is registered to you. If you ever want to leave us, there's nothing to take with you — it's already yours.
Some clients love talking to the AI. Others want us to do it for them. Our optional retainer means you can text us a change and have it live the same day. Cancel anytime.
No drawn-out agency timelines. No mystery. Here's exactly what happens.
We get clear on what your site needs to do, who's coming to it, what to leave off, and what tone to strike. You send us your logo (or we sketch one), your copy (or we draft it), and any photos.
Before we write a line of code, you approve how it'll look. One round of revisions included.
We use Claude to build a fast, modern site. It lives in a repo you own from day one.
Over a screenshare, we install Claude on your machine, connect it to your site, register your domain, and put everything in your Vercel account. You watch it happen.
We walk through it side-by-side: change a headline, swap a photo, add a new section. By the end of the hour, you'll feel it click.
For the first month, every "did I break it?" question is on us. After that, you can either keep editing yourself for free — or pick up the optional retainer.
No subscription required. If you want us to handle edits for you later, our retainer is optional — and you can cancel it any month.
Most clients are live in 10 days.
For when you'd rather not talk to the AI yourself.
Yes — that's the entire point. The "technical" part (installing the AI, connecting GitHub, setting up hosting and your domain) is our job. You watch us do it once. After that, you only ever do one thing: open a window on your laptop and type what you want changed. If you can write an email, you can edit your site.
Your code lives in a GitHub repo in your name. Your site is hosted on a Vercel account in your name. Your domain is registered to you with your billing details. We never gate access to any of it. If you decided tomorrow that you never wanted to work with us again, your site keeps working, you keep editing, and there's nothing for us to "take back."
For the first 30 days, just email us — we'll fix it free. After that, you have two options: pick up the retainer and we handle it, or pay us an hourly rescue rate (currently $120/hr) for the rare big oops. In practice, the AI is very cautious about destructive changes, and your site is automatically backed up every time it deploys, so "rolling back" is usually a one-line ask.
Two real ones, both paid directly to the providers (not to us): your domain (~$15/year) and, if your site gets unusually heavy traffic, Vercel hosting (free for the vast majority of solopreneur sites). Most clients pay $15 a year and that's it.
Two reasons. First: rental. You'll pay $300–$600 every year forever, and the day you stop paying, your site disappears. Second: ceiling. Templates look like templates. The minute you want something they don't offer, you're stuck. Our build is custom from the start, and the AI can change literally anything.
We'll draft copy with you on the discovery call and refine it together. For photos: a mix of (a) your existing brand photos, (b) carefully chosen stock, and (c) AI-generated imagery if it fits your brand. We'll figure it out without making you spend a weekend writing your own About page.
Those tools are great for engineers and tinkerers — but they assume you know how to deploy, connect a domain, and wrangle a codebase when something goes sideways. We do all of that for you, and we set up the editor to live on your laptop with full context about your site. You don't have to learn a new app. You just talk.
Yes. Blogs and booking embeds are easy and usually free. Full e-commerce is doable but adds complexity — we'll quote it separately if and when you want it. The whole point of how we set you up is that adding things later is just a conversation.
